Overview
Safety Advantage is the provider of the OSHA 30 Construction training course, which will be taught by Authorized Outreach Trainers.
The 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards. Instructional time must be a minimum of 30 hours.
Course topics include: Introduction to OSHA, Managing Safety and Health, Struck and Caught Hazards, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Health Hazards in Construction, Confined Space Entry, Ergonomics, Fire Safety, Ladder Safety, Excavation Safety, Scaffold Safety, Materials Handling, Crane Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Motor Vehicle Safety, Power Industrial Vehicle Safety, Safety and Health Programs, Steel Erection Safety, Welding Safety and Work-Zone Safety.
Important Note
OSHA has limits to a maximum of 7.5 hours training per day in all OSHA 30-Hour courses. Therefore, this 30-Hour course must be delivered over a minimum of four days.
Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainers sign and mail OSHA 30-Hour cards to students who successfully complete this course.
Audience
This course is intended for construction workers and supervisors, and anyone involved in the construction industry.
OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers.

Cards
When the training is complete the trainers send documentation of the training to their Authorizing Training Organization. At the end of the class students are given a course completion certificate. OSHA 30 cards will be issued shortly after the completion of the course. An OSHA 30 card is wallet sized and is the official proof that the course was completed.
